Baby White Shark tututururu!

Brief note on the smallest free-living White Shark, this little one was swimming off the coast of Baja, pretty close to the USA-Mexico border when it got tangled in a fishers gill-net. We discuss its biology, ecology and the management implications this rare finding has and how it affects this charismatic and feared, but most importantly ecologically valuable top predator. This work was lead by PhD Candidate MSc. Omar Santana and coauthored by many great colleagues, it is also my first published collaboration with colleagues at my new home Institution IIO-UABC.
