Mariana R. Ferrera Rodríguez
I am a graduate student at la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California at the Instituto de Investigaciones Oceanológicas (IIO). My PhD project currently in development will look into evaluating aspects of functional diversity of the fish community of kelp forests along Baja California that are harvested for commercial purposes. I will also look at assessing the connectivity level among valuable fisheries resources of these ecosystems using molecular tools. During my free time I enjoy reading english literature, listening music from classical to heavy metal, but can listen to The Cranberries and Michael Jackson all days every day. I also enjoy dancing and learning Japanese.
