Claudia Isabel Vázquez Aguilar
I was born at CDMX and I have a Renewable Natural Resources in Engineering degree by Universidad Autónoma Chapingo, and a MSc in Coastal Oceanography from UABC, where I am now working towards a PhD also in Coastal Oceanography. I will be looking at behavioral patterns and energy expense of the Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) at Islands of Baja California.

From 2014-2015 I worked on freshwater ecosystem management at Universität Hohenheim at Stuttgart, Germany and I currently teach courses on field monitoring techniques and Select Topics in Oceanography at la Universidad de Chile. I am passionate about wildlife management and conservation and I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of marine invertebrates, lizards, crocodiles, snakes, manatee, dolphins, beluga whales, sea lions, birds of prey and some small terrestrial mammals.
On top of this, I am black belt in Judo by the Judo International Mexican Federation, and I have practicing this sport since I was eight years old and I greatly enjoy this activity. I consider myself a person who is always learning, enjoying outdoor activities, reading, visiting new places, and spend time with my loved ones.
